Warthog(Phacochoerus Africanus)Warthogs spend the majority of their time looking for food. They sleep in burrows at night. Warthogs have a wide habitat tolerance, but appear a lot in open woodlands like Savannas. They are not threatened in South Africa as of now. Zebra(Equus Burchelli)There are 2 species of Zebra in South Africa: the plains Zebra also know as the Burchell's Zebra and the Mountain Zebra. The Mountain Zebra lives in the more mountanous regions of South Africa. The Plains Zebra eats mostly grasses, and some twigs and leaves. African Elephant(Loxodonta Africana)Elephants typically reside in open savannas. The Elephant is the world's largest mammal. Elephants consume up to 600 pounds (272kg) of grass a day. An Elephant's trunk can be used to find water underground. They also uses their trunks for picking leaves and other foods. Elephants tusks are also used for many things such as self-defense, and fighting. Giraffe(Giraffa Camelopardalis)Giraffes are the world's tallest animals. Giraffes can be up to 18 feet (5.5 meters). Due to the giraffe's long neck, they can eat off very tall trees.(http://www.krugerpark.co.za/africa_giraffe.html) Giraffes live in open savannas, and eat various Acacias and other plants. Leopard(Panthera Pardus)
Leopards can tolerate various habitats. Leopards typically hunt Antelope for food, but they can eat many things.(http://www.krugerpark.co.za/africa_leopard.html) Leopards grow to be 3-6.2 feet long. Leopards spend a lot of time in trees, and they hunt at night to get their food. Leopards aren't picky eaters, and will eat insects or other things when times get tough.
