Precipitation:The Savanna has two seasons, rainy & dry. During the Rainy season (May until November) there is about 15 to 20 inches of rainfall per month. The rainy season brings on growth and development as the amount of rain leads to better nutrition for the plants. The rainy season temperature is typically around 70 to 90 dgrees fahrenheit. During the dry season (October until March/April) there is only about 4 inches of rainfall per month. Most animals migrate for food during this season due to the intense heat and lack of precipitation causing water sources and plants to dry up (https://sites.google.com/site/africansavannahapbiology/home/biotic-and-abiotic-factors).
Temperature: In the Savanna, the temperature ranges from 78 to 86 degrees fahrenheit (http://www.blueplanetbiomes.org/savanna_climate_page.htm). Wind Patterns: Warm, moist air from the equator moves in to the Savanna during the wet season. Following this comes the Dry season. During this time, hot, dry air moves in from the Sahara(http://www.blueplanetbiomes.org/grasslands_climate_page.htm) Soil Composition: The soil in the savanna is very porous, and has a rapid drainage of water. It has a thin layer of soil made up of dercomposition plants and other things that provide nutrients to vegetation (http://www.ucmp.berkeley.edu/exhibits/biomes/grasslands.php). Geographic Features: The Savanna is a grassland with trees and shrubs scattered about (http://www.blueplanetbiomes.org/savanna.htm). Other Factors:
